In the heart of Lagos, beyond the busy streets and towering buildings, lie quiet corners where humanity still whispers, where those forgotten by the world fight daily battles of survival. It was here that More Blessed to Give Foundation (MBTGF) found its true purpose.
What began as a small Christmas outreach, five friends sharing meals and laughter with children in Makoko, has become an annual mission of compassion that now reaches hundreds of people in destitute homes like Oko Baba. These are communities where the blind, the elderly, and the physically challenged live with grace in the face of unimaginable hardship.
Each outreach is more than a visit, it’s a reunion of hearts. We bring hot meals, clean clothing, medical care, and moments of joy that remind them they are not forgotten. The laughter that echoes when we arrive is our reward, the music of gratitude that says, “You remembered us.”
We’ve seen eyes light up at the sight of food, tears roll down wrinkled faces at a simple touch of kindness, and children run to hug our volunteers. These are not acts of charity, they are acts of love.
